*The Corpus Christi metro area is home to several public, independent schools districts.  In no particular order, they are:  Calallen & Tuloso-Midway ISD's in northwest part of Corpus Christi, London ISD to the south & west of the city, Flour Bluff ISD on the south & eastern part of the city from the Oso Bay to North Padre Island, West Oso ISD located on the near west side of the city, and finally, Corpus Christi ISD which is responsible for the public education within the city limits.
